Fields of application

Production program

Single drive shaft on a shimmering silver background that emphasizes its precise workmanship and robustness.

01

Drive shaft

The drive shaft transmits the power of the motor to the wheels of a vehicle and thus ensures its propulsion. A high production quality of the drive shafts is essential for electric drives.

MIC Production can offer drive shafts in contract or complete machining.

02

Stepped planet

Stepped planets in a planetary gearbox enable a higher transmission ratio or a more compact design by combining several gears on one axis.

The gear wheels of a stepped planet are of different sizes and mesh with different gear wheels of the sun or ring gear.

At MIC Production, the tooth flanks are finished through gear honing.

03

Ring gears

Ring gears are an essential component of planetary gearboxes and form the outer gear into which the planetary gears mesh.

They either transmit the movement of the planetary gears to the output gear or absorb the drive force, depending on the design of the gearbox. Due to their fixed or rotatable bearing, they determine the transmission ratio and contribute to the compact design of the gearbox.

MIC Production offers fine machining of the internal gearing via gear honing with a quality of up to IT5.

Bevel gear on a shimmering silver background

04

Bevel gears

Bevel gears are gears with conical flanks that are used to transmit torque between intersecting axes, usually at an angle of 90 degrees. They enable precise power transmission and are often found in applications such as differential gears or angular drives. They can be adapted to specific requirements such as smooth running or high loads thanks to different types of gearing, such as spur or helical bevel gears.

Piston carrier

MIC Production is also able to manufacture complex components. That for example is demonstrated by a piston carrier. This is manufactured in 2 clamping operations, including toothing.

06

Clutch Baskets

Clutch plate carriers are central components in multi-plate clutches or brakes and are used to hold and guide the disc packs.

They transmit torque by arranging the discs in such a way that friction is generated when pressed together by hydraulic or mechanical pressure. Their precise design ensures even force distribution and helps dissipate heat during operation. MIC Production is able to manufacture such components through turning and grinding operations.

07

Planetary gears

Planetary gears are central components of a planetary gearbox that run between the sun gear and the ring gear and transmit the rotary motion via their toothing.

They distribute the applied force evenly and thus enable a compact design and a high transmission ratio.

Depending on the design of the gearbox, they can rotate and revolve around the sun gear at the same time, which has a decisive influence on the function of the gearbox.

MIC offers the full production spectrum, from purchasing the blanks to the ready-to-install product.

08

Sliding sleeve

A sliding sleeve is used in gearboxes for the friction-locked connection of gears to a shaft by moving axially.

Its teeth or claws engage with the desired gear and thus transfer the torque from the shaft to the gear or vice versa.

It enables shifting between different gears and ensures reliable power transmission with changing transmission ratios.

Ring gears

Ring gears are conically shaped gears that are usually used in combination with bevel gears to transmit torques in axes at right angles to each other, such as in differential gears. They convert the rotary motion of the input shaft into a corresponding rotary motion of the output shaft and thus enable the force to be distributed to several output gears. Their special geometry ensures precise power transmission and a high load capacity in a compact design.
